GenieOS · Strategy

The strategy every campaign is built from.

Give GenieOS one URL and it drafts your north star, your competitors, who you are for and where you should be. You correct it. From then on nothing is generated off-strategy, because there is a strategy to be off.

Step 01

A north star, and the number that proves it.

Most marketing tools have no idea what your business is trying to do. They know your logo and your list, and they will happily help you send something excellent in the wrong direction. GenieOS starts with the objective instead: one sentence about where the business is going, and the single metric that says whether it is getting there.

It is drafted from your website, which is usually right about eighty per cent and confidently wrong about the rest. Correcting it takes a minute and it is the highest-leverage minute in the product, because everything downstream is generated from it.

Step 02

Who you are for, and where you should be.

Your audiences and your ideal customer profiles live here, alongside a channel mix scored by conviction rather than by habit. Core channels are the ones you have evidence for. Promising ones are the bets. Naming the difference stops a quarter of guesswork being reported as a strategy.

GenieOS proposes audiences it thinks you are missing and marks them as proposals, so a suggestion never quietly becomes a fact. Accept it, edit it, or leave it: the point is that the disagreement is visible.

Competitors

GenieOS appears in “AI email marketing”

  • Klaviyo
  • Mailchimp
  • Instantly

Step 03

The company you are being compared to.

Your competitors are part of your strategy whether or not you have written them down, because they set the language your customers use to describe the category. GenieOS reads who you show up beside and keeps that list in the same object as everything else.

That is what lets a campaign position rather than merely describe. A launch email that knows what the reader is currently using reads differently from one that assumes they arrived from nowhere.

Campaign strategy

every campaign, before a word is written:

  1. Objective
  2. Audience
  3. Message
  4. Channels
  5. Design

Every campaign gets its own strategy:

  • sign-ups
  • activation
  • repeat purchase

Step 04

Every campaign strategy is derived from it.

There are two tiers here and keeping them apart is the whole design. The standing business strategy is the layer above: north star, competitors, audiences, channel mix, KPIs. A campaign strategy is the layer below, settled before a word of copy exists: objective, audience, message, channels, design.

The campaign one is derived from the standing one. That is the same word the calendar uses for a derived post, one level up, and it is the answer to where the GenieOS layer actually is. It is the thing every campaign is derived from.

Measured

Last campaign: activation objective missed by 8%.

Next campaign
  • audience narrowed
  • welcome sequence rewritten

Drafted for your approval.

Step 05

And the loop writes back to it.

Here is the part that makes this a hinge rather than a settings page. When a campaign is measured, the result does not land in a report. It is written back into this object: a channel moves from promising to core, an audience is demoted, a KPI target is revised against what actually happened.

So the next campaign is derived from a strategy the last campaign changed. The diff is short, readable, and always ends at your checkpoint. That is the closed loop, and this object is where it closes.

Capabilities

The standing layer, kept current.

  • 01

    Learnt from one URL

North star, competitors, audiences and channel mix, drafted from your site and corrected by you.

  • 02

    Two tiers, kept apart

The standing business strategy, and the per-campaign strategy derived from it.

  • 03

    ICPs inside audiences

Ideal customer profiles live with the audiences they describe rather than in a separate document.

  • 04

    Channel mix by conviction

Core is what you have evidence for, promising is a bet, and the difference is stated rather than implied.

  • 05

    Genie proposals, marked

Anything GenieOS suggests is labelled as a proposal until you accept it.

  • 06

    Patched by the loop

Measured results are written back here, so the strategy reflects what worked rather than what was assumed.
